We take our time with every groom to ensure each pup feels comfortable, cared for, and never rushed. Safety is always our top priority, which means creating a calm, peaceful environment for every appointment. Most grooms last between 1 and 2.5 hours depending on your dog’s breed and size, though timing may vary based on their individual needs.

At Rooney, we also deeply respect our clients’ time and the trust you place in us with your pets. We don’t operate within arrival “windows.” Instead, we schedule a dedicated appointment time that works best for you. When you book, we’ll provide an estimated duration, and once your groomer arrives and meets your pup, they’ll confirm the final timeframe.

Nope! Our state-of-the-art mobile grooming studios are fully self-sufficient and purpose-built for mobile service. We never need to connect to your home for water or power — we bring everything required to pamper your pup right to your doorstep. Each van is prepped daily to ensure our groomers have all the water, power, and supplies needed to complete every service seamlessly, and we always leave your space just as we found it.

We sure do! We’re open on Saturdays from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM to help accommodate your schedule and make booking as convenient as possible.

We service all of San Diego County, with the exclusion of Camp Pendleton.

If your pup is groomed more than three times a year, the Rooney Club is absolutely worth considering. Designed to make grooming more affordable, routine, and seamless, the membership helps you stay consistent while enjoying extra perks along the way.

We know plans can change! If you need to cancel or reschedule, we kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice via phone call or text. Changes made within 24 hours of your appointment may be subject to a fee.

Providing advance notice allows us to accommodate other pups on our schedule and keep our routes running smoothly — we truly appreciate your understanding.

Regular professional grooming — paired with consistent at-home care — is essential to your pup’s health and comfort. If we encounter matting or a heavily compacted coat during your appointment, your groomer will walk you through the safest and most appropriate next steps. In some cases, this may require adjustments to the groom to ensure your dog’s well-being always comes first.

At Rooney, we operate on dedicated appointment times rather than broad arrival windows to provide a smooth, predictable experience for every client. We kindly ask that you’re available at your scheduled drop-off and pick-up times so we can stay on route and respect each family’s appointment. We understand that delays can happen; however, extended wait times may result in additional fees or, in rare cases, cancellation of the appointment out of consideration for the next scheduled pup.

Your dog’s safety — and the safety of our team — is always our highest priority. Because Rooney provides one-on-one grooming inside a mobile studio, not every pup is suited for this environment. If a dog does not meet our safety guidelines, we may need to decline or discontinue service to ensure everyone’s well-being.
